Hey, update lang po. My petition was received last July 16, 2007. Case back then was received and pending. Just this morning September 15, 2007, case approved. So now I am just waiting for my lawyer's email. Thank you again for your support and inputs.

what do you mean po by "petition received last july 16, 2007"? Nung july lang po sinubmit ng lawyer nyo ung petition at natanggap sa USCIS? ang bilis po na-approve ng petition nyo. immigrant po ba yun or working?

working lang kasi yun. h1c visa po hehe. HIndi pa naman tapos I still need the I-797 and fill up yung form na DS-156 na i apply namin mismo sa US embassy dito.
Medyo kinakabahan lang ako kasi sabi sa requirements need rin ng VIsa screen, eh email ko na lawyers at agency sabi no need na daw. So baka hanapin sakin eh ngyon pa lang ako nag apply. Baka December ko pa sya makuha

i think you really don't need the visa screen for your working visa. visa screen is only needed when you are being sponsored for the greencard (immigrant).

Well I really hope so because I emailed already the lawyers handling our case and the agency, and they both said its not needed. But everytime I check the requirements for that visa, it states that visa screen is one of the requirements. I guess worrying is just silly because even if they need it, I really can't do anything about it but wait for CGFNS since I applied for one already.
I'll keep you guys posted. Good day.

Hello, I have been working as a volunteer nurse for 2 months already. One of the forms that I have to fill up to submit to the US EMBASSY is the DS-156. I did not write anything under the PRESENT EMPLOYER because like I said, technically the hospital is not my employer because I am not being paid as a nurse but I am currently getting my experience there. Will I have a problem during the US EMBASSY INTERVIEW if I only have 2 mos experience? Someone told me I should have 6 months training before the interview.
I plan to tell the US embassy that I didnt write the hospital because I'm a volunteer nurse but I could probably give them a certification stating that I have been working there as a volunteer nurse for 2 months already. You think that is okay?
I don't know why will I have a problem since the hospital in USA employed me without a working experience.
Thank you for your replies.

yung agency na globehealth resources, llc. Kasi sila yung may job order at sila may kausap sa hospital under h1c. Nag apply ako sa kanila tapos kung pwede yung resume mo, i set up nila interview mo sa employer. try mo yung website ng valley baptist medical center, alam ko pwede mag apply dun ng direct eh.

Hi nervousonion, Thanks for giving us your updates here, and congratulations for the approval of your H1C. Don't worry about the visa screen certificate, as it is not needed until you adjust your status to an immigrant. Make sure you have all your certification for your job training, even if it is unpaid, ready for the interview. It's fine not to put any employer in your application form, but I'm sure they will need proof of your training. Your RLE certification might help as well. Good luck! Admin

Hello everyone, I'm done with my embassy interview and I passed!! Thank you for the support and prayers.
By the way, the consul didn't ask for my Visa screen certificate, he didn't ask for my employment contract or job offer either. I think the consuls in the Philippines are not that familiar with the h1c visa.
The consul asked only for my employment certificate here and my licences both in the Philippines and USA.

H1-C is a non-immigrant visa category for skilled workers needed in the underserved areas here in the US. The process is similar to H1-B, where you will need an employer to sponsor you and file for your petition. The quota for this visa category is limited to up 50 per area only, so I would be careful if your agency is recruiting as many as 40 nurses, because there are many agencies competing for this type of visa now that there is still retrogression on immigrant visa and application for H1-B is not open yet. You can read more about H1-C on www.filipinonurses2us.com. Good luck! Admin
