Make sure you have nothing with you for them to doubt you as a visitor. The H1-B (temporary non-immigrant worker visa) is available every year and it usually opens in April of each year. The EB-3 (immigrant worker visa) is now available for Filipino nurses. It would be a big help for you if you can pass the NCLEX exam first, but not necessarily, for as long as you have a local license. Good luck to you and let us know what you decide to do! Admin

hi! i am in the US on a tourist visa and i am scheduled to take the NCLEX and IELTS in august. My agency told me that after passing both exams they would file for my working permit, working visa & immigrant visa. If God permits that i pass both exams and got the results in the last week of August, when should i expect to start working? how does the retogression affect my status?
furthermore, after passing the nclex & ielts, what are the next steps that i should do? please give me a list of the things that i still need to do and how many months or days should i wait for the processing of each step.
Thank you very much! more power to you!
PS. by the way, i am included in the unfortunate batch of june 2006 and already took the re-take last june 2007, im still waiting for the results.
